Redbourn Parish Centre
Redbourn Parish Centre is owned and managed by Redbourn Parish Council. It was purpose built in 2011 providing modern, fully equipped council offices and a community centre based in the heart of Redbourn village, opposite the war memorial on the common.
It comprises of the Parish Council Office, Police Office (where regular Police Surgeries and Citizens Advice drop ins are held), Council Chamber which is also used as a Conference Room and a large Swendell Hall suitable for larger meetings, exercise classes parties and other events.
Both the Conference Room and Swendell Hall are available for hire.
Entrance Foyer
As you enter the building there is a light and airy reception area with tables and chairs ideal as a break out area for meetings and gatherings.
The building is ground floor only with all offices, rooms, toilets and kitchen accessed directly from the entrance foyer. There is also a separate direct access into the Swendell Hall from the car park via a ramp.
The centre is fully wired for hi speed broadband connection with free wifi and ethernet points throughout. The building has access control and is equipped with security CCTV an intruder alarms.
Parking
There is limited parking in front of the building one of which is a designated disabled space. There is a small overflow area behind the centre providing a few additional spaces behind the centre on the gravel.
If you do have to park on the street please be considerate to residents and ensure you don't block their access.
Swendell Hall
The main function hall measures 12 metres by 8 metres and is a spacious room with a vaulted ceiling. It has the capacity for 80 people seated or 100 people standing.
There is a hard floor making the space suitable for exercise classes and parties and events alike.
There is a door leading directly into the kitchen and serving hatch making preparing and serving of food and drink easy.
The room is equipped with full HD media system suitable for audio visual presentations with appropriate licenses for showing films and a T-loop installed for the hard of hearing.
Conference Room
The Conference room is a carpeted meeting room measuring 9 metres by 7 metres.
It can accommodate up to 40 people seated in rows or 16 people plus tables.
This room is hired out on a regular basis for training sessions and workshops as well as being used for Council chamber and so used for committee and working party meetings.
Like the Swendell Hall this room is also equipped with a full HD media system suitable for audio visual presentations with appropriate licenses for showing films and a T-loop installed for the hard of hearing.
Kitchen
There is a fully fitted kitchen equipped with a commercial size electric hob and gas oven, hot water urn, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. The kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, jugs, cups and saucers which hirers are able to use for their event.
Access is from the entrance foyer or the Swendell Hall for function use.
Toilets
Fully service, male, female and disabled toilets are on site with Dyson hand driers and baby changing facilities

- Community Hub
Foodbank, Citizen's Advice and Computer Friendly are all at Redbourn Parish Centre on Monday afternoons, offering support and advise to local residents.
- Police Surgeries
The Police Office at the Parish Centre is open regularly for residents to meet with and report issues to our local PCSO
- Citizens Advice
Citizens Advice drop-in service runs every Monday at the Parish Centre, between 12 noon - 2pm where no appointment is necessary.
