Introductory Information about Tom

"I was born in St Albans and grew up in Redbourn, went off to Manchester for university and came back a few years later. I've worked in the IT industry since 1995, originally in networking/infrastructure and systems support, now as a general consultant for SMEs. Officially my company is based in London but I have principally been working from home in Redbourn for the last 5 years. This has given me more time to get involved in the village, hence my decision to stand for the Parish Council.

I have been on the Fireworks Committee since 2017, helping to organise the event and working on the evening - usually you'll find me directing the traffic down by the Jolly Gardener. Also I have been volunteering at the Village Museum, occasionally as a steward but mostly assisting with their IT requirements.

My dog Tara (a black Labrador) is very keen on walking and socialising around the village, which gives me the opportunity to meet many people and hear their views on Redbourn. I am keen on maintaining a balance between the traditional village life and meeting the needs of modern society, which I hope will be reflected in my contributions to the Parish Council."
